Free trial and refunds
Try it for 14 days first. That is what the trial is for.
Try before you buy
There is a free 14-day trial precisely so that nobody has to buy Exeunt to find out whether it suits them. It is the whole app, with every feature working, and it needs no account, no card and no licence key. It starts the first time Exeunt runs.
If it isn’t for you, you don’t need to do anything. When the trial ends, Exeunt stops quitting apps and simply shows you what it would have done. Drag it to the Trash whenever you like.
Need longer to decide? Email support@exeunt.app and ask.
If you have already bought it
Exeunt is sold through Paddle, who act as the merchant of record. Legally they are the seller: they take the payment, handle VAT and sales tax, and their refund policy applies to the sale. That is why their name appears on your card statement and your receipt.
Under that policy, Paddle may refund a purchase at its discretion within 14 days of buying it. Requests are looked at case by case — asking inside those 14 days doesn’t guarantee a refund, and it isn’t ruled out either.
How to ask
Use the support link in your Paddle receipt, or go to paddle.net and choose Request refund. Refunds go through Paddle, because they took the payment.
You’re welcome to email support@exeunt.app too, with the email address you used at checkout, and say what went wrong — often it’s something that can be fixed.
Once approved, a refund goes back to the card or account you paid with, within 14 days, depending on your bank.
If you are in the EU, the UK or similar
Consumers in the EU, the UK and some other places normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Under Paddle’s refund policy, that right doesn’t apply to digital content once it has started to be downloaded or used, if you agreed to give it up at checkout. Asking for a refund as above still does.
What a refund does to the licence
A refund ends the licence: it can no longer be activated on a Mac, and a Mac that hasn’t yet made its final check with this site stops quitting apps when it does — the same as when a trial ends. Nothing on your Mac is deleted.
If it just isn’t working
Try the help page first, or send a message. Most problems turn out to be the Accessibility permission not being switched on, which takes about thirty seconds to fix.
